Hi guys,

I'm new to Coffeegeek and to espresso in general actually. I just purchased a Gaggia Classic and a Rancilio Steam Wand. I'm now looking for a Burr Grinder. I don't really need anything insanely great yet because I have 0 technique yet.

I'm just hoping to find a nice grinder for espresso. I was hoping to find a Preciso for a decent price.
I was hoping to spend ~$250 on a used Preciso.

Thanks guys, Mike

Actually this is all the more reason to purchase a good grinder, and I would venture you're under shooting on a preciso. Many have suggested that they have had poor experience with it for espresso. I would recommend the vario at minimum. Baratza regularly update their refurb page, a vario runs $360 on refurb, or the already mentioned $330 offer. A good grinder goes a long way to good espresso, and without significant technique, low end grinders are nearly impossible to use.
