Subject: WTB: Used Behmor 1600 Roaster

So my coffee intrigue has lead me to the next natural step, purchasing a home coffee roaster. As this is my first home coffee roaster, I have decided on the Behmor. Unfortunately as a college student, purchasing a new roaster is out of the question therefore I'm looking for a used and affordable Behmor 1600. Please feel free to contact me if you have a used roaster for sale, if possible specify the following:

  1. When the roaster was purchased
  2. How frequently the roaster was used and total pounds roasted
  3. What maintenance or cleaning you did
  4. If you're able to ship the roaster
  5. Price you are willing to part with your machine for

Thanks in advance and look forward to hearing from you!

I have a Behmor with less than 50 roasts on it, which is available for $200 plus shipping if you are interested.

One issue to consider is that many venders will give you about 8 lbs of coffee & free shipping, and warranty with a Behmor (for $299)
This makes it hard (though not impossible) to find a used one that's worth buying.

The coffee that came from the vendor (note the correct spelling), is mostly still here.  None of it was anything I would have ordered on my own, and I and will be happy to send it along with the Behmor to whomever decides to buy it.

That is fabulous that you spelled vendor correctly.

I wasn't suggesting that your Behmor wasn't a good deal. I was making a general statement.
OP was wondering why there aren't more Behmors for sale and I was, tangentially, responding to that.
As someone more than a thousand posts here, you would probably be a reputable vendor of such an item as well.

I leave it to the OP to decide where the cutoff is that for him makes a used Behmor attractive.

I apologize for mis-interpreting your comments and for taking offense.  My bad.

You are right to note that there is not much room for making the deal sweet enough to be worth it.
I now have a Hot Top and really don't need the Behmor, but will probably try to sell it locally to avoid the shipping cost issue before I bring the price down any further.  Heck it is practically brand new....

No worries.

I would think you & OP might be within striking distance of something... but that's not where I fit in here.
I sold mine locally when I got a Hottop.
