Hi - I purchased this back in 2010 from Chris' Coffee and have pulled ~5 shots a week for the past 3.5 years.  It has always been used with a water softening system set and maintained to 1 gpg.  We have recently moved to a new loft apartment and with a kitchen gut and rebuild my wife added a Miele Coffee system and produces nearly the same quality that I am capable of making in my Andreja.  I promised the Mrs that I would "attempt" to sell to maximize he counter space.  :>

The Rio was purchased from a member here and I replaced burrs when I got it as well as removed paint for a nice natural finish.  Never had any issues with either machine.

Unfortunately, I do not need to sell this and WILL NOT ship so until someone from the Tampa area is interested she will be sitting on the counter for a spell.

Please ask questions if I have missed anything.  I have pictures.  Email me if you are interested and I will send.

Best Regards,

Bob

Sorry for the curve to your thread...but, if this (^^^) is really true, you would do well to take a one day barista training course.  With your setup, you should be able to blow that Miele away with your friggin' eyes closed.

rather than putting another post in your thread, I thought it might be better to reply here, via an EDIT:

I wish you the best of luck...though I'm not sure if that is to not sell it or sell it! :)  ...and i totally understand the wife factor!

Perhaps but my wife says the effort and space in her mind doesn't justify the slightly better results I get.  Yes, I have considered a course but when friends are over they state my espresso is better than anything they have had so I am guessing I am doing it "mostly" right.  :>  It prob will not sell as I would need someone local but who knows.  I will not cry if it doesn't sell for sure.

emradguy you've totally hijacked the thread!  Because I know the Miele system well (my mother in law has it) and all I could think was, yeah, it's not close.  Bob, I hope you are able to make the sale or reconsider using it, because you have a really nice set up and I'd hate to see it go to waste.  Good luck either way. (btw I tried to talk my mother in law out of the Miele, but ultimately she wanted the design factor and isn't a coffeegeek, so probably the right decision for her).
