Just placed my order for the Panama Auction Winner "Jaramillo Especial" . This is the most I've spent on a pound of Green Coffee Beans; At $24.80 a pound with a one pound limit from SM. I've have spent $35 on Roasted Kona in the past before I started roasting my own.
After Tom's review I could let this one slide. I guess I'll post a follow up after the beans get here.

I checked some of the recipients (The Roasterie, Hines Public Market Coffee, Groundwork Coffee, Stumptown Coffee, Intelligentsia Coffee Roasters, G.H. Howell Co., and Sweet Maria's) but only Sweet Maria's is selling it (green) for now.

the Jaramillo is an amazing coffee. It is so juicy and bright and sweet it is intense. I cupped it with Stumptown and Sweet Marias before the auction.

Actually most of us liked the Jeru coffee better because it had about 80% of the intensity of the Jaramillo but had better balance and a bit more complexity.

But I would HIGHLY reccomend trying the Jaramillo! It is a not to be missed coffee for sure!
