You take your Starbucks-obsessed MIL to your fave local coffee place, and you're abolutely mortified when she orders a Caramel Macchiato, a la Starbucks ("They don't have those here! Order a Caramel Latte!").

6 so far. CG is one of 'em. I've got 2 from Home-Espresso.com, Chris's Coffee Service, the website for a DC coffeehouse called Tryst that was mentioned in an SCAA newsletter article as having excellent espresso, and Pallo, which sells a cool new coffee tool.
I also subscribe to Home-Espresso's eBay Store updates.

Tryst isn't worth your time. Hang out at the new Murky in Arlington instead (the old Common Grounds.) It's closer (if you live in Arlignton) and way, way better both in coffee quality and laid-backness.
Sorry. Um... You know you're a CoffeeGeek when the net value of your coffee equipment is more than that of your car

So true.
The only vehicle I own is a motorcycle I paid $900 for. My coffee equipment probably adds up to over $1500! I guess I'd just rather walk than live with crappy coffee... :)
