Knowing the timing, maybe a political remark of some regarding this moment in time.  

Being a cynic, that's my wild guess.  Of course, if this board had the Fairness Doctrine fully enforced, then a new thread would have to be formed that just said, "No!"

I assumed it was a political thread, but lets keep in mind CG has users all around the world and that may not be the first reaction/assumption of every user.

I'm not knocking the thread, just asking for a little specific clarification of the topic's content.  Now its here, chat away my friends...
