Hi Owl,
I think you took the last line in barking's response as one aimed at you. I think he meant the "shut up" part works both ways in the hypothetical situation he presents exploring the exchange between customer and vendor depending on the expectations both bring to the transaction. If the expectation is not in line with what is promised then any complaint is pointless.
In other words, I think he mostly agrees with you. : )
I chew coffee beans with my teeth while gargling with 195 F water to enjoy coffee. What is this "coffee brewing" device you speak of?
Eric was mostly right. I agree with half of what you said formerly, and none of what you said in the latest post. And yes, the S.T.F.U. was not aimed at anyone personally, nor any of the people complaining with or against the bitter barista, including you. It was describing what everyone was thinking. Including you. The cow is not offended. The person who chooses his words carefully is, however, shaking his head at still not learning his lesson about internet readership after all these years.
But, yeah, I can see why my last line could offend. Sorry about that. It was not my best effort and I apologize.
Oh - no argument with you there, Owl. I've logged too many years in retail and food service not to know these types well, treating you like the last remains of the servant class.
And it may be the primary reason they call it "work."
