Subject: Recipe for SB's Doubleshot Espresso?

OK, I am going to admit to a shock here:  I'm not a coffee drinker.  Scary, but true.  My spouse sucks down coffee like it is going out of style, but I've never acquired the taste.  HOWEVER, I do enjoy cappuchinos (both "traditional" and trendy flavors), coffee ice cream, coffee "floats", the occasional espresso, and so-help-me, the dreaded Starbucks Doubleshot Espresso.  I'm WAY too cheap to buy it on a regular basis ($2 for less than a cup of liquid???), but I need a pick-me-up to get to work at 6am and keep me up for over-night call in the hospital.  The tea I drink just won't cut it, caffeine-wise.

I'm a big fan of making things myself (I'm great at breakfast croissants), but I've been unable to find a recipe for the SB Doubleshots.  Found plenty of Frappuchino "top secret" recipes, but they tend to be too sweet (lots of sugar).  I've heard that Doubleshots are basically just cream and espresso.  Does anyone know?  I'm planning on (more bad behavior here) mixing up a large batch and just bringing it to work with me in a little mug.

SO, would someone PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE help me out:  has anyone heard of a good "Doubleshot" style recipe???

espresso topped with whipped cream is called con panna. they are available in starbucks. just pull a good espresso shot and top it with some whipped cream. coffee geek has a more elaborate version of the recipe in "guides and how to section".
if you need something to pick-you-up try "shot in the dark" also available in the same section as above.

one tip, if you want to stay awake, an apple does a better job.

The closest I have come to the taste of the "Doubleshot" is to pull a double shot of espresso into about 2-3 ounces of half and half mixed with about .5 ounces of Monin Irish Cream syrup.  Once combined, shake in a cocktail shaker with 5-6 small pieces of ice until the shaker is frosted, strain into a cup and you've got (I think) something pretty close to a "doubleshot".

I thought this discussion was about a drink available in SBX stores, which it may very well be (I wouldn't know), but someone just gave me a can of the stuff. I don't know where it was purchased or how much it cost.

The ingredients list says nonfat milk, espresso, cream, sugar, caramel color, and ascorbic acid.

The 6.5-oz. can contains 17 grams of sugars, much of which would be lactose.
