I pour a 2 ounce shot of espresso over three scoops of vanilla ice cream then blend with a hand mixer. Maybe add a little sugar to make it really sweet. This makes a cup of cold, creamy coffee. Don't know if that's what you were looking for but try it anyway.
Okay, this is coming from a guy who thinks the best ice-cream in the world is vanilla. Heck, it's kinda like the best coffee in the world is the most basic - with nothing added. That being said, have you ever tried a very good vanilla with ground espresso sprinkled over the top. Fantastic stuff.

I'm not a big fan of the texture of espresso grounds - and i'm sensitive to texture. I love vanilla ice cream, but I also love others - and I want a good coffee ice cream :-)
Riprazor - thanks for the recipe. I'll try it out soon.

Okay Eric--was looking through some old threads, saw a post from you, one thing led to another and I decided that i needed to listen to some led zeppelin. CD's sound good, but don't do LZ justice. My NAD requires a preamp for a turntable, which I don't have. To make a long story short, i ended up dragging my marantz 2270 and my turntable out of storage to listen to a few zeppelin albums--all because of you. Just wanted to let you know that you are a PITA without even trying to be one.
Glad you liked it. Now that you mention it, my machine is probably close to two quarts and as it chills, it gets pretty full. Cutting back about a half cup of milk would probably take the quantity down and not hurt the texture to much. If it does, substitue a little more cream for the milk.

I've had a lot of fun using Haagen Daz and Ben and Jerry vanilla ice cream to make saffron IC, cardamom IC, IC flavored with dessert masalas, etc. - not what Led asked for, of course, because I've never experimented with adding liquids. But it's an easy way to get yummy flavors that aren't available in the grocery freezer.

You know, you could also put a few shots in if you make the icecream. My brother and I made some icecream a few months ago, and it was, I think, too creamy. Yeah, too creamy, my brothers disagreed though. Anyway, after you've heated up the sugar and cream/milk, mix in the espresso, and let the chillin' begin.
