To my taste cappuccino is coffee flavoured milk yet I am not one for sugar no milk. At the risk of 100 billion "been there done that" replies I humbly offer this procedure the thought of which hauls me out of bed in the morning within seconds of wakening. My Italian business associates have christened it "traverso nuvole", ( through the clouds). Prepare a mixture of two of milk to one of cream in a small jug, ( three to one if the cream is rich ). I use a small hand held battery powered whisk to bring it up to a pourable "super foam". Throw your shot to within about 12 to 14mm from the rim of the cup americano or straight and dissolve sugar to taste as usual. Float the preparation onto the surface of the coffee, ( no need to glide it off the back of a spoon it will not sink no matter what ). You drink the coffee through the creamy foam and will never want another cappuccino again. The coffee cups I use are heavy duty clear glass and when ready to drink it looks like a cross between a guiness and a gaelic coffee sans whiskey. good luck. Franko

sounds good. I might have to try this, but will probably whisk it by hand, as I can use the exercise. Ok, seriously, I don't don't own an electric whisk.

hand whisk not gonna work, to much PT, I use small hand held battery driven, ( 2 x AAA ) whisk, only cost R100, ($12) in the local supermarket. Used to use wifes Philips double paddle mains driven thing but the battery job is so convenient and easier to clean and does a finer foam very quick. Franko
