Daily Buzz Coffee is starting a search for a Master Barista.  We are seeking someone with significant barista experience and are willing to compensate such a person appropriately.  If you are the selected candidate, your compensation will include an aggressive salary, a bonus based on your results and some equity in the business.  Members of the Daily Buzz team will be at Coffee Fest in Seattle.  If you have an interest in this position, and would like to chat, we'd love to meet you.  You can find the job description online here:

We are prepared to make an exceptional offer to an exceptional barista.  If this interests you at all, get in touch.  We'd love to arrange to meet up with you and get acquainted.  Drop us an e-mail at baristajob@dailybuzz.com and we'll get something organized.

If you won't be at Coffee Fest, that's OK.  We'd still like to hear from you.

Would probably be worthwhile to provide some information on things like the coffee you're using (roaster or roast yourself, details) the machines being used, size of coffee bar (staffing and customers), etc.

You might also want to post this on the BGA board.

As the position description notes, we're new, meaning in the design phase.  There is time for the person selected to influence many things, including the behind the counter layout, machine and roaster selection and other factors as well.  My thinking has been that part of the appeal of this job is the chance to "have it your way".

Will do so.  Unfortunately, I've forgotten my BGA password (I'm a member) and have called the SCAA to get them to send it to me.

Thank you for your comments, malachi.  Much appreciated.  Please help spread the word.  For the right person, this will be a wonderful opportunity.

There's no "BGA password" for the BGA board, other than your forum password, if you're already registered on the forum.  Nor, in fact, is the "Want ads" thread on the BGA board for members-only.

Go to http://www.baristaguild.org

Best of luck on your endeavor!
