Mark, your "Real Names" policy has caused me to think long and hard about giving up my pseudonym. And I'm not yet ready to do it.

People here probably don't know that for many years I've held a job in politics that was all-consuming. Barely had time to pull a couple shots in the morning.

But there have been some big changes in my life that have caused me to think seriously about what to do with the years that I have left. Last week I finally retired, and I'll probably have a lot more free time to hang out here on Coffeegeek and on Cigarsmokers.com.

So even though I'm not yet ready to change my handle, I feel very motivated to start fresh and reveal my real name....

Sincerely,

-Fidel Castro

As a coffee industry professional I have made sure that one could figure out who I was by examining my profile and web link.  I think it is only fair to do this.  But I'm keeping my nic.

I never really liked my username anyway, thinking I found this site after doing a search and I'd come here and sign up for a short time and then not visit much after I research and buy my first setup, but I've been here most days ever since.  It was the first thing I came up with for a username lol.  I'll probably be changing it soon.

I've never had much creativity when it comes to user names for the various forii that I frequent, so I've been compliant from the start.

Wait... Maybe I was just anticipating this change :)

I did add my full name to my sig.

BobTimo signing out ... and signing in again as BobbyTimonera. Among the very very very few homeroasters from the Philippines. Hoping to meet more here, as I could still count by my fingers (from one hand) my fellow countrymen here.

Nice!   Even when I read items that I deem funny, I rarely ever laugh outloud, but I caught myself doing just that reading Fidels post. For the record, I have never rolled on the floor laughing at anything, and I hope that I never do.

Quick suggestion

Perhaps those who are changing names and have been known by a handle for a long time should put their old handle somewhere in their profile.

If many people  do this nick change, it's going to be confusing to try to keep up with this thread and see who's who.
