If you'd like to discuss or ask questions about our updated Buy, Sell and Trade (BST) forum rules, as announced here, please do so in this thread. The moderators and myself would be happy to answer any questions or help you with your posts. Also, please feel free to read our Further Reading on our BST rules.

I have some questions about BST posting as I want to respect your rules and think coffeegeek/you guys are awesome with all the work you do-
I guess first so you don't waste time answering moot questions is-
I have/had an espresso repair business (just repairing no product sales) and have to close and move east for family reasons and need to sell my Pasquini Livia, Mazzer SJ, Baratza Vario, Quest M3 and all my manual coffee brew systems (single, used items- 6c chemex Kone V1, 2, 3; Hario V2 dripper/server, Beehouse dripper, Hario Vac-Pot) and VST Lab refractometer. Am I allowed to?
If I have multiple items for sale (espresso machine/grinder complete package, quest roaster, and various manual brewing systems I need to sell) do I need to post for each item/package separately or is it allowed to post for all of them at once - 'pile of coffee gear...' - list prices in the thread?
I guess they're the two main ones. I have more but I'm drawing a blank right now.
I'd like to sell them to coffeegeeks as no one takes better care of their gear than me and no one deserves good coffee gear than coffeegeeks but that is up to you. If you need or are interested in knowing my character you can contact Justin Hartman of Ozo Coffee in Boulder (where I've lived for 13 years). Ask him anything. You can also talk to Vince Fedele as he might give you a less than stellar review of my character but still honest and straight forward I believe. Your call of course. Sincerely, Dan Kennedy

Rule #5 seems clear, but I'll ask just to be certain. I've been thinking of selling my Livia 90, which I've owned for about 11 years but no longer use. Unfortunately I bought it from Peet's coffee, who told me it was used as a demo machine. I assume this means I may not list it on BST?

Bob, If the machine was in your kitchen, and you used it as your personal machine*, it is generally fine to list. Thanks for checking and it's always a good idea to check with a moderator if you have a question. (see this post for a list of the moderators)
The rule is intended to disallow folks who close a cafe and want to unload their business equipment, folks who buy a used machine from a cafe and fix it up to "flip" it on the BS&T, or outright equipment vendors, etc. from posting to the BS&T. We allow members who (a) are active participants in the community and who (b) have equipment that they bought for themselves (maybe from a cafe) and no longer want and (c) used as their personal equipment to post on the BS&T as a courtesy so that they can pass along their previously used good equipment without incurring eBay fees, etc.
used in your own home does not mean fixed up a junker in your workshop and tested it in your kitchen and now you want to flip it.

Thank you, Dana. No, it was not a fixer upper that I bought to flip. I did use it as it came for about 10 years, except for some maintenance items like group head gaskets, a new pressurestat, and a new vacuum breaker. I'll probably list it soon.
