At around 8 to 10 am Tuesday, Wayne is launching the new "speedy" version of our WIPS engine on the CoffeeGeek site.
It should show noticable speed improvements. Of special note is the "pregnant pause" that seems to plague the current site - how when you click a link, there's a 5 to 30 second "pause" before anything seems to even start happening. That should be all but gone with the upgrade.
This is still a "beta" of sorts, and there could be problems once it is launched live and accessed by as many as 4,000 people a day, instead of the 30 or 40 that were accessing the test site. If you do see any problems, please make a note of it, copy any error message you see or describe any unusual behaviour, and send it to support@coffeegeek.com and we'll look into it.
Thanks to the people who gave us some of their time and helped test the beta site which will be closed tomorrow. We really appreciate it, and I think all CoffeeGeek users, whether they participate in forums or not should also appreciate your help.
