I attended the 3 hour ABC Espresso Course last week and found it very useful.
There is nothing like being shown hands on techniques for pulling shots and texturing milk.
It's the most basic of the courses available but invaluable for anyone interested in bettering their performance.
There were prospective cafe owners to home users in attendance all of whom found it beneficial.
Jill Adams also has finished the DVD which was selling for $26.00 dollars and it is a great reference tool especially as the Australia espresso menu has it's own idiosyncrasies.
On Fridays they also run practise sessions which are $20.00 for two hours.
You turn up and they throw orders at you and evaluate your performance as you go. They hope to attract paying customers, so the pressure is on...
Great for those who need cafe practice or for the hotshot home user who wants to get eight dinnerparty orders onto the table at the same time...
