Wow... I've had some incredible coffees at Brother Baba Budan... This morning I bought a bag of their Ethiopian Blue Horse... As soon as I opened the bag, I could smell blueberries... and I was shocked (and excited) by the intense blueberry flavour in the cup. I can't wait to have my second coffee this afternoon and I recommend any CoffeeGeek that hasn't tried this bean before, do yourself a favour and get to BBBs and buy yourself a bag.

This might not be news to anyone. It might just be that my palate is starting to develop to a point where I can better taste the different flavours of various coffees. But I am really excited about this coffee, and had to share.

dang, I was in there a week ago (i live in Sydney) and didn't get any as I still had some cachoeira canario from St Ali sitting at home that needed to be used. I LOVE Blue Horse, its one of my favourite SOs. Like you, I couldn't get over the blueberry flavour when I first noticed it. I did find that its a little volatile though and tends to only last for a few select days after roasting, around the 4-6 day mark I think but I guess it also depends on how its roasted.

I think you're spot on, mate.

The coffee was great Wed/Thurs, but died a little on Friday and the blueberry flavour is hard to find after the weekend. A little sad, given how incredible it was the first time I had it.
