Thanks for your welcome Baristakim... :)
I will start working in a cafe in about 3 months (thats when it will open)... not too fancy coffee though.. just caps and lattes. Ok here are a few Q's for you... Can you the coffee art on a hot choc? (choc art :) ) Also what is the sauce used for decorating? is it the same stuff they use in milkshakes? thanks... Monique
Hey hey~! yes you can pour latte art, or do etching art on a hot choc ^^... the stuff i used (i no longer do etching much) is more of a thick chocolate sauce made from chocolate powder, make sure it isnt too thick or it will just literally sink. :P
You can do latte art on hot chocs, not much different from latte art really...I use belgium hot choc "powder" (yummy), mix it with a little hot watter, then add the milk as usual for free pour latte art. Also, you can add the choc powder first then add the milk for a more defined latte art.
If you want any photos of hot choc latte art, email me and I can send them to you!
Cheers,
Dana
PS You can do the same trick with putting the powder on first for the cappas as well, for a different look on your latte art! :)

Are you impressed to know coffee in terms of latte art only?

Sorry, but the problem may come from "only".

oooooh... have I induced a caffine fueled spat? he he he.... I am interested in a bit more than the art side of it all, but it is the most interesting for me. I am opening up a cupcake shop at the end of the year, and would love to be able to impress with making not only a great cup of coffee but also a pretty one! I am in Central Queensland, and here we have plenty of places that serve coffee, and none that go out of there way to impress. Since checking out some of the features on this site, I have taken notice of those in the industry, and the way they work their coffee machines. :)
