So, I've recently become really addicted to coffee. Not unlike most of you, it's not so much the caffeine (if at all), but the ritual, the taste, the hunt for the perfect cup, etc. It's only been a few months since the beautiful black nectar has stopped being a casual drink and become more of a religion for me.
Montreal has been getting more and more great coffee shops -- my favourite 2 being Flocon, Pikolo -- but I was wondering if anyone knew of a cafe or shop that does tastings or cuppings? I'd really like to sit down and learn, taste, analyze and appreciate the variety of beans and roasts out there all in the same sitting, as I am only beginning to really start to taste the nuances between certain roasts and good coffee vs bad coffee.
Sorry if this has been posted/discussed already! I'm brand spankin' new to coffee geek.
Thanks!

Hello, I will check this post carefully because its something I can be really interested. I have gone to Flocon and Pikolo a couple of time and have had very good coffee at both place.

Check me out on Facebook, search for espresso geeks. I am in the process of closing my roasting company down and moving to more of a club for espresso fiends. I want to organize a cafe crawl soon and am looking for moderators on my website once I finish moving it over to more of a discussion forum. I am located in St Lazare and was known as Evergreen coffee company.
