Bridgehead has opened up a local roastery, 130 Anderson St. just off Preston. It supplies their coffee shops and they also sell to the public. The 12 oz bags have a roasting date stamped on them. Today (Jul 18) I bought a bag of Mexican Dark at the Bridgehead on Metcalfe/Sparks, it was dated Jul 14.
A source of good espresso in Ottawa, 200 Preston, La Pasticceria et Gelateria Italiana. After their fire, they bought all new espresso equipment and it delivers consistently good espresso.
