Anybody at the trade show in airportland that just ended today? (Day 1 at least) Just came back after sipping loads of caffeine and helping around. It seems like the show was aimed more at professionals rather than consumers, so I kinda felt out of place. There wasn't anything super interesting, maybe except for the championship that was happening in the back.
You don't even need to pay for the show in order to watch the competition, it's streamed live on http://www.livestream.com/2010canadianbaristachampionships And there was even a guy with a cool beard that won a free pass to the show.

Oh yes, I think it was :). I remember seeing your "Andrews Green Beans" on the badge. Unfortunately, I couldn't come help out on the second day because of school.

Ya, I was there. A couple of interesting things. Bumped into some industry folk, even knew a few of them. Tried to charm Sofia (barista championship judge?) but was lacking...haha.
All in all, I was rather unimpressed by the coffee
