Hi all!
I want to buy a used Rancilio Silvia but I cannot find one anywhere near Montreal. The shipping cost from USA to Canada (to buy it from eBay USA) is out of the question...
Does anyone know about someone selling a Silvia somewhere close to Montreal? Or at least somewhere in Canada to save on intl. shipping?

I've seen them sold occasionally on kijiji and craigslist. But there are none being sold now. If you're patient enough, keep checking daily and sooner or later you're bound to see one go up on sale.

Yeah, I've been checking both of them on a daily basis (or more) but nothing has come up. The thing is that patience is not one of my virtues. Ever since I found this website I've been obsessing with having a good espresso maker. Now I can't go back to just being happy with my very lousy espresso maker.
But since I have no other option, I will be patient.

I am selling my PID'd Silvia and Rocky doserless; however, I live in Indiana. I have not checked to see what shipping will cost, but maybe my used price plus shipping would be in your range. Creativecoffee.ca carries it. They offer free shiping on orders over $70. The Silvia is currently on sale $619 down from $799. Here are the sites within Canada I buy from. One or the other may have it for cheaper.

I appreciate the info, but I finally managed to get a used Silvia on Kijiji and I have it right here with me... Now I just need a good tamper and I'm ready to go!
