Hi, I think to open an italian caffetteria in Prague, do you some concept franchising that can match Italian style and work well in Czech Republic client's mind?

Hey gonzales66 not sure of your intention?

Do you wish to create a franchise concept, or import an existing one?

It kills me to say it but i know Gloria Jeans Australia have a successful concept that is being rolled out to other countries, which has that Seattle style thing going on.  And as the world becomes american it may be an idea to look at.

As i see it there are two different markets in Czech Republic, your tourist market in Prague and then a home Czech market.

The tourist market would be easier to approach, the Czech market fairly tough.  I guess for both some sort of Italo/Czech/American mashup would be the approach in terms of style.

The biggest X factor would be the quality of your coffee, can you get quality locally roasted/ i.e. fresh coffee within 3 days of roast.  Maybe look to scandinavia for inspiration/supply....

All the best with your venture

Most of the franchise's are roasting there coffee in Sydney and then sending it around the world to its International Distributor (like the one in Turkey, getting it roasted with ship. the coffee is 29 days on sea). The best way would be to import your coffee as grean beans, roast youself and sell it fresh. But it needs of course a lot of research (i needed 7-8 months to get every detail together).

I'm sorry I'm disappeared. Many things to do with this kind of project. I have had contact with an Italian concept. Chiaroscuro concept. It seems to me very Italian and classic, with a real counter and with a very balanced espresso. What likes to me is the style that is warm and pleasurable, what do you think about?

Hmm, have you been to Prague or Bratislava (Slovakia) and checked out the coffee scene there? I just spent a year living in Bratislava, Slovakia - I speak the language, and can tell you one thing, it is incredibly competitive, and the cafes are outstanding...when it comes to decor and the quality of coffee. However, I did notice a bit of a slide downwards as some places started switching to automated machines...
By the way, starbucks is making their "debut" in Prague - not that I am a fan....
