YES!!! ...though they use irradiated milk for the milk based drinks! (YUCK)

The place is called Gorilla and is in a furniture store (sic) on the shopping street: Zeil.  Below is a picture from there.

Here is a picture of the business end of a cino. (This was the only bar I found where they bought beans roasted in Germany.)

Hi Matthew,

the Place Worldman mentioned is called "Kaffee Lounge".

That´s the adress: Große Friedberger Strasse 23

The nearest subway station is called "Konstablerwache".

Jens,

Thanks for the clarification.  Man, was I off!  However, I do recall that it was on the Zeil - OR - am I just crazy?

Anyway, how do you like their espresso? Do you have any other places in Frankfurt to recommend? There was a place which had decent espresso in the middle of the old town section of Frankfurt - but I don't remember anything about it other than it had "B-itchy" barista.

Other than these couple of places, it was only at the office of another coffeeGeek Tomcat where I had decent espresso. Do you have any places to recomend?

Len

Here is a picture of Tomcat's wares:

@ Len

Yes, the Kaffee Lounge is a few steps from the Zeil, but to be precise - not on the Zeil.

I haven´t found any place with better coffee in Frankfurt until yet. So no other recommendations so far, but I´ll never stop exploring...

Tomorrow I´ll be testing a new café in town. If it´s worth it, I´ll keep you informed!

Thanks for the info so far ... I'm very familiar with the area and U-bahn stop you mention. I'll be there shortly after Christmas. If you find anything else, please pass it along. Thanks very much.
