Just arrived in Amsterdam today and will be here off and on for the next 6 months. I am looking for some places to drink espresso and buy beans.

Thanks.

Unfortunately there are not a lot of good Coffee places in Amsterdam.

I was in Amsterdam again, twice this month and tried all the places listed here except Palladium, which wasn't open when I went.

I also tried a bunch of other places and found nothing worth writing about.

I can recommend Espressofabriek, Gosschalklaan 7, although quality varied with barista.

I only visited Brandmeesters once, but based on my experience I wouldn't go back unless purchasing equipment.
At Coffee Connection they had a nice machine but the barista was very inexperienced.
I would love to hear others experiences there, perhaps I got an off day.

Please let me know if you find any good spots!

Thanks,
Rand.

A young Woman, she seemed nice but remarked she had only just started. I got the feeling it could be a good place. I would like go back and try it again when I get the chance.

what has been your experience there? Do you work there?

I don't work there. I live in the suburbs of Amsterdam. But i come regular there for a coffee when i am in town.
Go when Dave, the owner, is working.

Another good place to drink a coffee.
