Hey! It's great to hear you're getting into coffee! And believe me, it's a really slippery slope into Geekdom.
As for Square Mile, I've yet to try them, but I've heard nothing but good things, and Jim is a really good bloke. Really knows his stuff as well, as does his other half, Anette.

It's really helpful, and has everyone from home baristi through to Jim Hoffmann and Hugo Hercod. www.commongrind.co.uk/ - The UK's first mainstream coffee blog. Really good stuff. http://thirdwaveuk.blogspot.com - Yeah, okay, it's my blog, but I hope you can find it helpful.
