It's been a few years now since I went coffee hunting in town. Back then, it was Monmouth and Flat White that seemed to be top of the heap, but there are no doubt a lot more contenders today. Any suggestions, please? Thanks

I like the coffee from Sacred. It's a kiwi place, cosy and they have good coffee. Their food is also really good. There is one right of Regent Street. Yeah, I know sounds a bit touristy, but you would be surprised how many Londoners go there to have a sip. There is also one at Westfield and in Covent Garden. www.sacredcafe.co.uk

There is also a coffee stand in Swiss Cottage. It's a little market near the tube station. I think the market is twice a week. The coffee is also really good, but a bit out of the way if u are further central. I used to live in that neighborhood, so it was pretty convenient for me to grab a coffee there.

Hi All,
I'm a Kiwi coffeegeek that's just moved back to the UK - I've been hunting out good coffee spots in London. The two that I would suggest are "Speakeasy" off carnaby st http://speakeasycoffee.co.uk/location/ and Taylor St Baristas ("Aussie Trained..") http://www.taylor-st.com/
Both excellent coffee and run by baristas who care about the taste and quality!

Hi,
I might be a bit partial on this but Vida e Caffe, which tries to serve an espresso similar to the Portuguese one, is quite good. For me, as a Portuguese, it's one of the best espressos I've had in London. They have a few branches spread across London but I've only tried the one out on Mortimer St.
