Hey Guys,

I'm having a few difficulties with the beans I get at my current supplier HasBean (no fault of their own most likely - in the aeropress the beans are phenomenal, in the Gaggia Classic....not so much), however I'd like to try and find another supplier just to see what they are like and see if I get better results.

I'm looking for the following qualities:

Good prices
Freshly Roasted on the day that they send it out (or as near as possible)
Good selection of beans

If anyone has any ideas that would be awesome!

No brainer.  Redbird Espresso, he always roasts and ships the same day, delivery within 3 days and the blend is awesome.  He also offers a Blackbird blend that's a darker roast and more robust, and several single origin beans.  Prices are competitive, free shipping on 5 lb orders, can't lose with that deal.  Oh and he puts these fabulous tasty chocolates in with the order, last shipment I got he threw in a whole chocolate bar!

Ah they're US aren't they?

Although they look absolutely amazing, I would preferably need UK roasters :(

No such thing as espresso beans. Blends yes, beans no.  Squaremile would be the other recommendation.

Having said that Hasbean have several espresso blends and single origins, so frankly if you can't get a decent espresso I'd maybe look else where if your problem is with espresso only. What grinder are you using for instance?

Still it's always fun to try other blends.

Artisan Roast in Edinburgh/Glasgow! http://www.artisanroast.co.uk/

Their Janszoon blend is amazing, at £22/kg its not cheap, but well worth it.

Long time lurker, but I signed-up for an account just to recommend Two Day Coffee Roasters in Bristol. I drink black coffee, not espresso, but their americano is better than any i have tried anywhere in the world, including Colonna & Small in Bath (UK), Flat White in London (UK) or Simon's in Boston (USA).

https://twodaycoffee.co.uk/

They post beans and you can blend your own coffee/espresso etc... on their website.

I don't work for them (or own it!), but i have been going there for 5 years, and i want them to remain in business because they are a real treasure :)
