Heck, why bother with your mouth? Straight into a vein!

Perhaps this is the time to admit that I once snorted freshly-ground coffee by accident. I wouldn't recommend it as an alternate delivery mechanism.

Having just had my morning shot, I think ten to fifteen seconds is exaggeration on my part. I can't drink a double ristretto that fast without scalding myself. I think it was closer to thirty seconds, in small sips. I didn't turn a timer on because I wanted to enjoy the shot. --PR

I work as a medical malpractice consultant up here in Seattle.  Seattle is also somewhat of a popular area for alternative or complementary medicine.

Many of the alternative practitioners will sometimes recommend coffee enemas for a variety of conditions.  I myself would first wait for the shot to cool, and anyone who approaches me with a steam wand for that purpose is in trouble!

You are absolutly correct because in a recent study done by the CRAM agency, a subcommittee of the Department of Health and Drug Administration

C=committee on
R=rectally
A=administered
M=medication

it was shown that because of the increased surface face area of the lower bowel ( some people have more than others so results may vary) the absorption of caffeine is almost double that of oral administration and the caffeine level is increased proportionately.

The Fleet Company is planning to introduce a new product after reading this study designed for people on the go. They are asking this board for name suggestions.
