Coffee from PT's is the best I think you can get in the Kansas City area, though I haven't had a chance to try the Roasterie's espresso lately.
I use Malabar Gold, and Riley's espresso roast from Barry Jarret in St. Louis. All the coffee I serve is roasted by Barry. I don't think anything can beat Malabar Gold personally, especially in milk drinks, though Barry's Decatur Street Blend comes close.
If anyone wants to come see me, I have an espresso cart inside The Medicine Shoppe in Belton (south of Kansas City on hwy 71.) I hope to open a new shop within a year.
Aaron at Espresso dell'Anatra stocks a fair amount of coffee equipment and Broadway stocks a little less ... they used to stock Pavoni's at a coffee store at the mall at 95th and Metcalf ...

I work at Metropolis Coffee Company in Chicago. I used to work at LatteLand on the Country Club Plaza. I was also a regular at Broadway Cafe and the Barista Jams. I think Broadway makes the best drip coffee, and maybe the best espresso. It helps that their staff is very well trained.

Hi everyone- I was wondering if there are any jams planned anytime soon? I have yet to attend, and can't hardly wait till I do. They sound like they are just a ton-o-fun. I am about 2 hrs. away from the KC area, in Gorilla country- go PSU! I would also love to come and visit some of the shops there too. I finally found the Geeks I would like to hang around with! :) I'm glad to meet you all. Let me know.
