I plan to come out and watch the competition, sounds like fun!

Question for those who have attended these before- If you can only come to one day, is it better to do the semi or the final?

Mike,

I think it is best to go on both days, but if you can only go for one day, then make it for the final.  They also need volunteers for the event.  I did it last time, and it was fun.  I got to see some great stuff up close.

you are gonna be a runner again this year? I'm judging again, and my wife Mai is coming along, she'll be helping out.

Mike,
I am not sure if there is a discount hotel deal set up, but typically the more "affordable" hotels/lodging in the city are the chains, Holiday Inn, Days Inn, etc...If you want to stay close to the event, you could stay downtown, somewhere near the mag mile would not be a long cab or bus ride...
Or if you wanted to stay in in Lakeview, which is a pretty fun, bustling neighborhood,  a lot of Intelly customers stay at the Days Inn, which is a 5 minute walk to our Broadway store; but you would be looking at a cross town drive (20minutes) to the event. Tons to do and see around there.  Click Here (travel.yahoo.com)
