I just did a search (3 times) on Colorado and it says no results. ?
I think I'm spelling Colorado correctly..how strange.
Anyway I will be dropping by the towns of Creede, Durango, and Mesa Verde in a couple of weeks does anybody know if there is passable coffee in those towns?
Plus I might be the first person on CG to use the word Colorado. :)

Well although I didn't get any pre trip tips I did manage to find "decent" coffee all over the main towns I visited in Colorado of Durango, Silverton, and Cortez.
You can't throw a rock down the main street of those towns without hitting a groovy little purple hippy pad turned coffee shop. Organic this and all natural that is the vibe of the area....one place in Cortez is an organic nursery and coffee shop. They roast on a Diedrich in house and just seeing that sight on vacation is an unbelievable thing.
It might be that I over hyped them in my mind because I was just so happy to see people doing the right things in several shops but all of them (and I tried coffee at every place I could find) where better than I expected to find on the road and one of them was really good.
After sitting in this cafe in Silverton filled with mountain bike references as well as old town Silverton stuff.....a local dog stopping by to visit. (this is another story but Durango /Silverton is a really dog friendly environment). I walked out the door but after a few steps went back. I talked for a few to the owners just to say it was the best coffee I have ever had on vacation bar none and I appreciated that. I ordered a latte (I normally never risk an espresso drink but the vibe was good in this place so I risked it). The milk was a bit poofy and art is a long ways off if they ever even try it but it tasted good. I'd have loved to stay longer and try other things but the train was leaving in 20 min... :(
Not sure if I can post more than one pic in a post or not but here is an idea of coffee on the road if anybody in the future searches up for vacation coffee like I did.
