Posted Thu Jan 13, 2011, 1:19pm Subject: SCAA Calling for Volunteers for the April Event in Houston
The annual trade show Expo will be April 28 to May 1 in Houston this year. Exhibit Hall passes (includes admission to USBC and other competitions) will be $45 for one day, and 3-day passes that include lectures will cost $195 (early reg.) or $275 (late reg.) for non-members. Entry to the USBC and other competitions (without Exhibit Hall entry) will be just $10.
Coffee enthusiasts in the Houston area (or from any other area who are traveling to Houston) can earn admission by volunteering for a variety of interesting roles from April 26 to May 1. Volunteer details here.
There is no "consumer track" or other consumer-oriented programming, but most coffee enthusiasts consider at least one visit to an SCAA show to be a worthwhile experience to see the latest equipment, sample coffees from all over the world and drink shots pulled by some of the U.S.'s best baristas.
