I'll be traveling around Chicago November 5-10 and Milwaukee 11-16.  I'm always looking for any Cuppings or even just some home barista trainings (always looking to improve my manual brewing skills).  Does anybody know of anything?  I was going to do a roastery tour of Intelligentsia, but the only days available are November 3rd and early December...bummer.

Don't know of anything like that in Milwaukee.  If you do come up to Milw, stop by Anodyne on the south side.  Thats the best place, and they are very nice people!

Counter Culture does a Friday cupping at their training center in Chicago. Ipsento also has cuppings. Give them a call or check their twitter to see when they have the next one. If you have some time available, you should head to the Wicker Park area of Chicago. There are a good number of shops in that area (Caffe Streets, Star Lounge, Wormhole, Buzz, Ipsento, and Gaslight). Enjoy!

I can second that, for sure - I live in Bucktown, right on the edge of Wicker Park and there is quite a wealth of good coffee around here.

I know the OP has already visited, but for future's sake: check out the small org. called Caffentures, which has been leading "Coffee Crawls" in neighborhoods with cuppings at several locations per crawl. I went on one, and we did a tasting of the same bean with different washes (unwashed, honey-washed, washed), 4 different pour-overs, and different bloom times. Well informed guide and baristas.
