Subject: Help a CG Member who's had a major fire - Fri Morn Update! Last Day!!!!!

Two Martinis lost everything in a condo fire on Monday, August 15.  He really could use some help. His posts are always helpful and we need him whole as soon as possible. If you are so inclined please mail checks made out to Noll Kretschmann at Java Passage, 101 Worthington Ave., Charlotte NC 28203
A big thanks to Debra at Java Passage for helping.

UPDATE from Mark Prince:

I've set up a donation link through the main CoffeeGeek Paypal account to collect money to help out Noll. Payments collected on up to next Friday August 26 (and beyond, if anyone is so inclined) via the link below will go directly to Noll to help him out.

Two Martinis Paypal Donation

Click the above link to make a donation. STATE CLEARLY it is a donation to help out Two Martinis.

I'll start if off by kicking in $50 to help out. But any donation can help, from a buck to a grand or more.  Let's help out a fellow CoffeeGeek member who's been a valuable part of this community.

If you have any other things you wish to donate that you think Noll may need (like an old notebook computer, or what have you)... perhaps contact Debra at Java Passage to see what can be done. (nb - I'm not sure how much she's involved - so contact them politely and with reserve ;))

I'll post daily updates as to the funds collected.

Thanks everyone. Let's help Noll through a difficult time.

Mark

After one day, we have a total of $360 raised for Noll.... wow!

This includes very generous donations by ten people, including a $100 donation by Counter Culture, helping out one of their own in NC.

$360 raised so far - it will go a long way to helping out Noll, who's been burned out of his condo and lost everything.

If you would like to make a donation (and folks, no amount is too small or too large), you can do so via this special Paypal link I've set up:

Two Martinis Paypal Donation

I will keep donation going until next Friday, August 26, and then I'll either get the money to Noll (who I imagine, doesn't currently have any Internet access) either via Paypal, or we'll mail a check to him for the total amount raised.

So help out a fellow coffeegeek community member, one who's done a lot to add to this community.

Damn.

All I can say is that I'm flabergasted at the outpouring of help...

You are some of my best friends; even though many of us have never met physically, we're friends just the same.

I apologize; but I'm really at a loss for words at the moment. All I can say is that I'll bounce back to normal in a little while, so nobody has any cause to be overly concerned.

I won't get sappy here, that's what my blog is for. I'm trying to post frequently in order to keep those that are concerned well informed.

Hey Dude!!  Good to see a post from you!!!  You're a kindred spirit Noll, and I have missed your posts (I meant before it when I said CG is a more fun place with you around).

What a tragedy!  I saw the Mazzer picture, it made me shudder.  I'm sending a little financial aid, but if ther's anything I can do please let me know OK?

If you'd like to get away you (and Josie) are ALWAYS welcome to come to Houston and take a break.  You can stay with us anytime.  We will take very good care of you; and we'll pull shots 'till our ears are ringing...

All the best,
Jon

Hey Moderators!

Is this the right place for this topic? I bet there are lots of CG'ers who would like to help, but don't read the South/East forum.

Just a thought,
Andy

As of Saturday, August 20, we have $420 raised for Noll!

Thanks for all who are helping out. Let's keep it rolling. Use the paypal donation link at the top of this post. As suggested by a few, I'll propogate this post to a few other newsgroups as well.

I'll keep this rolling until next Friday. Every little bit helps.

And Noll, great to see you have a pretty positive attitude about it all, all things considered. Anything we can do to help...

I added to the fund, but I would like to be one of the first to send Noll some fresh roasted coffee once he's back up and running.  Keep us updated Mark.
