Here's a quiet note for a quiet opening.

Tomorrow, Thursday, August 17, 2006, we will be opening our new little kiosk at the public library in Towson.  It's going to be a quiet opening with just a few baked items and most of our coffee menu as we gear up and work out the kinks and other operational problems (basically things I forgot and left at the other shop).

So, if you're in the Towson area, stop by and say hello.  We've eliminated drip in favor of all press pot coffees.  This week we'll be brewing the 3rd Place Best of Panama Carmen Estate and Flores Bajawa from Indonesia.  Of course, we'll have our popular Spro Blend from Hines Public Market Coffee in the espresso grinders.

Jay - your new kiosk is already on my "must visit" list.

Good luck with everything, and hope all goes well.

When you steam, it will sound just like you are telling people to "SHhhhhhhhhhhhhh".

Seriously though, have you decided on a sylabus for your public education classes yet?  I know I have often recived the question from cafe patrons

"how come when I brew your beans in my Mr. Coffee at home it dosn't taste like it does at the shop?"

That could be a good starting point.

Press on

great to hear about your new venture. hope things are working out. glad you went with french press. wondering about hours of operation. i think i'll be visiting next weekend. are they the same as the towson library hours (fri/sat: 10:00 - 5:30 pm)? looking forward to visiting.

btw, can you make sure there's some spro shake available at shave ice? i was shut out last time.  ;)

Erwin-

Drop me an e-mail before you come down.  The kiosk follows the same hours as the Library (well, roughly).  The hours are as follows:

Mon-Thurs:  8am to 8pm
Friday: 8am to 5pm
Saturday: 9am to 5pm
Sunday: 1pm to 4:30pm

Come down and visit, but e-mail me beforehand so I can prepare for your arrival.
