JV-
If you do end up having the time to visit, you can take the MTA to Towson and visit our Spro Coffee kiosk inside the Towson Public Library on the 3rd floor.

Our coffee is roasted by John Sanders of Hines Public Market Coffee in Vancouver, BC, Canada and is shipped to us weekly.  I'm actually writing this entry from my home but I'll post again tomorrow to let you know what coffees we have available.

And yes, if you are unable to visit, we can send you coffee via USPS or UPS Ground.

But if you are able to visit:

I'll vouch for Jay's new joint. Spro has some amazing new drinks and the espresso is the same liquid caramel with perfect latte art. The new hires are up to the standard of the old. :)

Thanks for the info about Artifact, Ryan. I'll check it out today, and you'll need to be prepared to receive demerits if it isn't open.

I stopped by last week and saw a couple of signs laying on the floor in a hall, but it wasn't open yet. Or maybe I wasn't there at the right hour?

For light rail people, get off at the Woodberry stop, and just walk through the arch on the west side of the tracks.

No demerits for Ryan.

Thinks got crankin. Hours are 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mon-Fri and 8-4 Sat-Sun. Synesso, Mazzer Kony, French Press. Espresso is CCC Aficionado, "for here" only and I suppose the same would be true for macchiatos and con panna. French Press is Finca Mauritania. This guy might be called hard-core serious if he weren't so good-humored.

This lovely brick-interior shop has been open for maybe a week, maybe a little more or a little less, so please don't give ANY serious consideration to anything I say. The owner, Spike, produced an espresso with a lot of crema, very sweet, very nice - how did the rumor get started that good coffee is bitter? Macchiato is the Jay Caragay-Bronwen Serna type, I loved it. I enjoyed the French Press a lot, but I can't say a lot about it because I am an abominable taster.

I have never had a latte. It's true, folks, I never have, but the drink menu has something called a Dulce Latte that surely will change my mind. Spike makes his own caramel and chocolate sauces, so the Dulce Latte is his coffee version of Dulce Leche. I'll try this next time.

Drop in if you can, welcome the staff to the community, and wish them well.

Clipper Park, by the way, is a development that is still being built out, in place of one of the old Jones Falls mills. Interesting shops,  I enjoyed walking around.

Finally.  ha.   now i have two places i can get 'real' coffee.  woo hhoo.  all this brings tears of joy.  haha.  I will make sure to check them out tomorrow morning/midday.   Do you happen to have the number of Artifact?   I'll be buying lots of CCC Aficionado.  And of course Murky's Dulce...so no worries.  They are both great blends.   cheers.   and thanks.

my mazzer major will be having a glorious grinding..haha
