I'm spending Christmas here in Savannah and was wondering if anybody knew any good shops. I went to a few today but have so far been unimpressed. Any help would be appreciated.

If you are referring to Savannah, Georgia, just up route 67 a bit in Statesboro, you can find Ogeechee River Coffee Company, owned by Scott Miller.  He roasts his own coffees and the Cuban Sandwich is great lunch fare.  They are great folks.

I think the address is:
Ogeechee River Coffee Company
1100 Brampton Ave,
Statesboro, GA 30458

Hope this helps ...

I grew up in Savannah and moved from there about 5 years ago.  There are several local shops -  Savannah Coffee Roasters (I used to work for the original storefront in the mall back in college), Gallery Espresso, and The Sentient Bean.  There are several other places but these are some I used to go to.  There's another place out on the islands but I can't remember the name right now, something like Tradewinds I think.  Savannah Coffee Roasters are the only local storefront that actually roasts their beans that I know of.  However, Sweet Pea's Coffee Beans is a wholesale operation that is roasting locally and is where I get my beans from.
