If any true coffee lovers are near Yarmouth, Maine (just north of Portland), check out the new Royal Bean on Main Street.  They do made-to-order pourover cups for their single origins (and sweet, sweet French Roast), and very nice espresso drinks.  I really love the way they've set up the machine - a bar with nice stools wraps around the machine so you can hang and talk with the barista.  Its a beautiful cafe space, with high ceilings, great light and (of course) deep, stay awhile couches.  Free WIFI.  No flavored coffees and no blender.  We've needed this for a long time.

Help support Jim in his shop if you're in the area.

I'll be in Portland at the end of this month.  Maybe I'll check this place out if I get the chance.  I usually hit Breaking New Grounds and Coffee By Design while in Portland,  but I'm always game to check out something new.  Do they serve muffins/scones breakfast type things?  Thanks for the heads up!
