Hello, I'm hoping to get some suggestions on good places to stop and shop  for coffee on a trip from Miami Fl to White Sands NM. We will be traveling North through Florida west through along the coast though Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, west across Texas then into New Mexico.

I'm very much looking foreword to leaning about some good coffee stops along the way.

If you're heading up I-75, be sure to stop in Gainsville for Volta Coffee.  Plan to spend at least an hour there.  Owner is Anthony Rue, an awesome guy who's doing big things in Florida.  Volta is one of the few intelli shops in the Southeast, and a very good one.  Be sure to try the clover.  click here and click here.

While I've not traveled the route you're taking, I can tell you I've not heard of much along the Gulf or along I-10 in Alabama, Mississippi, or Louisiana.

From personal experience, I can give two recommendations in Houston (Catalina Coffee and Inversion) and two in Austin (JP's Java and Kick Butt Coffee) though you would have to get off the Interstate to make Austin on the way. Also, I've heard of Caffe Medici and Caffe Teo in Austin but I've not been.

Happy Hunting!
