Hey guys I'm new to competitions... ok... i've never competed... well anyway the point is that I want to.
It seems, however, that all of the comps are over with for the year in the north east.. am I right? I was hoping for a chance to compete while I'm still in the north east.

The comp schedule works backwards from the WBC. As that's in Atlanta in April, the USBC is being held in March. All the regionals will happen prior to the USBC. The SCAA hasn't yet put the regional schedules up, but figure that the NE would likely be held sometime between Nov 08-Feb 09. Just keep checking here for updates.

How long will you be in the NE? Michelle Campbell will make the announcement here in this forum when registration begins again for the North East , Mid Atlantic, and South East competitions. There is not really any "heads up" other than that. You can also check on the Barista Guild of America website for the announcements. When you see them, there will be links to the registration forms, competitor rules, and judges' score sheets. You better study the rules and score sheets thoroughly.
