Johnny C and I stopped by late Tues morning.  Beautiful space, lots of neat details.  Comfy chairs in a bright colored front bar area (with a gorgeous old bakery counter as the service counter) and exposed brick seating/work area in the back.  Parking for four cars (street parking can be a pain at certain times of day).  Had a great talk with Nikolai, Courtney about their vision as well as Dustin, who was the barista on duty.  The place is a keeper.  Wonderful people and a lot of promise.  They want to take coffee seriously.  A great alternative to the chains in that area.  Hope all coffee lovers will walk the extra block or so from SSW across Carson to find it.

This is good to hear; I walked by a few weeks ago but didn't have a chance to stop in.

(Gosh, it's been...what...almost a year since I posted last? Hi guys! Happy new year to all!)

Oh, also, I second Russ's props to Waffles Incaffeinated. The food is out of this world.

Voluto opened their doors today! Had a great shot of espresso and everyone there was wonderful. And they have tasty fluffy scones. Check them out if you're driving by on Penn. Tell them you're from coffeegeek too, it's a good way to intimidate them!
