check out joe van gogh on broad st. in the historic west durham section. it's right new to a restaurant that specializes in all-local cuisine, which is pretty badass. the last time i was in durham, i stopped in and they had some single origin ethiopia yirgacheffe espresso. but generally, they are pretty rad.

FYI... Counter Culture has an open cupping at 10am on Fridays. I'm there for the informal "espresso lab" that begins 7:30ish and runs until 8:30ish. There's usually leftover coffee from the formal lab on Thursday night that will otherwise go to waste (wink, wink). No need to call, just show up.
