Hey all,
I've refrained from posting in here recently as I got a job at a cafe in Tampa and wanted to avoid any conflict of interest, but this is just too exciting for a gear geek like myself to not talk about!
Apparently there is a shop opening up this fall in Sarasota called Perq Coffee Bar that seems to be lining itself up to be an excellent specialty coffee place. Judging from their instagram/facebook pages they will be using Compak espresso grinders, Vario-W grinders, and from Slayer's instagam (I did confirm this with Slayer) a Slayer Espresso machine.
No word yet on roasters, though they seem to be plugged in with Coava, Stumptown, etc. But this is great news for Florida! Now we have Panther (Miami), Volta (Gainesville), Axum (Winter Garden), Perq (if they live up to the promise I see) and the shop where I work all doing some awesome coffee stuff.
