Andreja Premium by Quick Mill and Cimbali Junior DT/1 from Chris' Coffee. We plan to put Junior and his commercial siblings in one area and the prosumer machines in another... rumor has it that Chris Deferio and Cindy Chang will be giving latte art demonstrations.

Macap M4 and Cimbali Junior grinders from Chris' Coffee. The Mazzer Mini is my own. BTW, if you're attending and can loan us your grinder for the event, please e-mail me. Ideally we'd like to have one grinder per station. Currently we're short by five grinders.
We're expecting a Mazzer Mini E from Whole Latte Love. I'll post a picture as soon as it arrives. No promise the leaves will still be on the trees...

Ted,
If you don't mind, absolutely! We're dividing the work areas into commercial equipment and prosumer; the former is a little short on grinders. I've updated the list at the top of this thread with the attendees who'll bring equipment.
Other news... since we're expecting a full house, we decided to divide into groups. We're getting together for the final planning on Friday. Daryn will post an agenda and hopefully I'll have more pictures to post by then!

So I got this call today.....
Felipe Isaza, our importer of Colombian coffees, called me today wondering if he should come up from miami for the Espressofest. Seems he heard about it on a coffee related news wire.
Also, when I was in Peru last week some folks there had heard about it.

Our mega-sponsor, Chris' Coffee Service, sent out this uber-cool Macap auto-tamper that you'll see at the EspressoFest. We'll have more barista toys than the SCAA consumer espresso lab this past spring in Atlanta.

PS: Don't ask if it's for sale after the event... I've got first dibs. :-)

It's still on the test bench for some final fitting, but looking good! He plans to install it in the main cafe / break room along with the three group La Marzocco and La Spaziale S1 for the commerical espresso/latte art track, led by Cindy Chang and Chris Deferio. Peter acquired this beauty from eBay Italy; he explained that one-group originals are common in Italy but were rarely imported into the U.S.

Yes!!! It is all coming together.
We will deftly shift attendees through 4 different tracks designed to expand your coffee horizons!! (How's that for cheese?)
Roasting Track - Commercial and home roasting, side by side. Ever wondered what the difference was between first and second crack? What do they mean when they say Agtron value? Lots of cool stuff to learn.
Cupping Track - Experience a real blind coffee cupping. Learn how and why it is done. You may not realize what you really are capable of tasting until you give it a try.
Commerical Espresso/Latte Art Track - Learn from experts how a commercial machine operates, the best techniques for pulling the perfect shot, and FINALLY, learn how to pour that rosetta you have always wanted to.
Home Espresso Equipment Track - Never before have so many great pro-sumer machines been lined up for you to try. Now is your chance to pick the perfect gear!
