Charlotte CG should try this place on Old Monroe Rd. Just past Potters Road in Stallings between Matthews and Monroe. They only serve Lerida Estates .
It is a family estate in Panama and they produce one of the premier coffees of Panama. Coffee is light roasted to first crack and espresso is a little darker. They call it french roast but I don't think they get too far into second crack.

Hey Blayne, how's your home roasting going? Did George get you up and running?

On a side note,  do you use your pod-adapter-tamper-disk thing? I had an idea about turning it into a permanent shower screen, but have modified mine well beyond repair :(

Up and running with my son-in-laws popperyII but yesterday I found that Kohls had Stir Crazys for 1/2 price $20 instead of $40. If you think you want to begin this would be a great thing to put on the shelf until you located a GG unless you were just going to use a popper. George was right When you start you never go back. And I'm this excited and I haven't even roasted my three different Cups of Excellence from SM. After Christmas we need to get together at the Rock Store and I will bring all the various parts that I'm not using. I figure I am going to have to give you lots of this stuff in order for you " THE ENGINEER" to help me PID my SC/GG combo when I'm up and running. When do you head north?

I'm heading home tomorrow, we'll definitely need to get together in the new year. I'm going to make a steam tip for a guy with an X5, I'll make you a longer one for your X3.

I've been reading about roasting a bit. Enough that I think I'll cobble together a Sivetz type machine that uses forced air to churn the beans. Kind of like a big poppery, but on its side, if you can picture it.  I can see it right now - a blower, a coil from an electric dryer, various pieces of HVAC ductwork...

Happy holidays!
