While visiting BlueBottle today, I was whining about the lack of decent coffee, with the exception of Barefoot, in the South bay. They told me of a new place in San Jose, across from City hall by the name of E-Moka. I'm not sure about the spelling. They use BlueBottle Beans and were trained by BlueBottle.
Has anyone been there and If they have, how is the coffee?

Finished up with a very nice microfoam latte which was sweet, smooth, and had the perfect temperature. The barista was obviously well trained by Blue Bottle.
In the last few weeks I had too many big disappointments visiting other coffee houses. But not at eMocha. Ristrettos and lattes are very good. I'm very impressed. Right here in downtown San Jose!

Someone on Craigslist also posted about another new coffee shop in SJ: Bellano Coffee (3985 Stevens Creek Blvd, between Saratoga Ave and Lawrence Expressway) that they claim is approaching Barefoot quality as well...

I pass by this place on the way to Barefoot. It's near the corner of Saratoga and Stevens Creek on the Hummer side. (Stevens Creek is an auto row). It's in a recently built strip mall. If it's good, it's still undiscovered as I never see a crowd there. One day I'll actually stop there, maybe.
Thanks for the pictures and quick trip to eMocha, Gary! From reading elsewhere, it sounds like it's an itty bitty place (no room for tables)?
It appears the owner's personal website is here, and this is his second attempt to run a coffeeshop (previous one closed due to lease issues). Very nice photography.
Better than Barefoot? To my palate that’s a stretch. I’ve been going there since they opened, easily best espresso Downtown . Blue Bottle custom blends for them, I believe guat, png, yerg and sidamo. Like their ristretto, nice machiato but from there it tends to get lost in milk for me.
