Last Monday, after having great espressos at three coffee houses in oakland Click Here (coffeegeek.com) , I continued to Santa Rosa where I visited Atlas coffee, which is located at the end of an alley.

Ecco three bean blend espresso at Atlas coffee. Milk chocolate, fruit. Decent shot but nothing special.

At Flying Goat I had this No. 9 espresso (odd name), which was sweet with dark chocolate flavors. Pretty good shot.

Continued on to Flying Goat coffee in Healdsburg. After moving their roaster to a new location years ago, they finally used the space to extent the counter and place two new white colored Strada espresso machines on top.

By this time I already had five espressos today, so I decided to have a hot chocolate. At Flying Goat they use very high quality chocolate, and with the skill the barista has to steam smooth microfoam, this made for a very nice hot chocolate!

The barista at Ritual recommended the Sweet Tooth Serra Negra. Described as having dark chocolate with heavy body, my espresso had milk chocolate flavor, low body, and an icky licorice after taste. Definite miss for me.

I spend some time in downtown Napa and ran across this coffee house located in a pretty 100+ year old building.
