I'll be traveling there for business for a week from 2/16 - 2/23.  Are there any great cafes, places to purchase green kona, any farms, or any good coffee related experiences to be had?

Thanks!
- Charles

Well, its a little late to answer, but:

Glazers coffee on South King street near the University of Hawaii is IMO the best Oahu has to offer for espresso.  They have the only LM FB80 on the Island.  Honolulu Coffee Co. in Ala Moana Shopping Center is pretty good as well.  They got a new Synesso as well, plus they roast the coffee themselves.

The only coffee farm on Oahu is Waialua coffee, near Dole Plantation (which is on the way to the North Shore) so far I have not enjoyed their coffee.
You may be able to buy green coffee on the North shore from a shop called Coffee Gallery (http://www.roastmaster.com/).  They carry coffee from all the Islands, plus they roast for Glazers cofeee.

If you do go to the coffee gallery, I recommend the Maui Mokka.

Are Glazers and the Honolulu Coffee Co. still the best bets for coffee in Oahu?  I'll be arriving there on the 24th.  Thanks,  Michael

Glazer's is good stuff. The espresso blend showed no/very little oil on the bean. Todays blend is Col/El Sal/Sumatra. Had plenty Sumatra flavor. Espresso is as double shot only. It was served a largish 3oz demitasse, but not filled to top. Crema was good, temp was good. Made a tasty shot.

Slick shop with lots of PC squatters. It's hot here, so there are a lot of iced drinks on the menu. Wife had an iced thai coffee. It had good flavor, sweet but not overly sweet.

Will try a capp next time....and get the barista's name.

Back to Glazer's  for a capp. Gal behind the counter this time. Her espresso-fu is not as tight as the guy there last time.  Wife had another iced drink with good flavor. The kid had iced chai latte that was nice and spicy.  My capp came in a huge cup. Let's call it a latte. Nice little heart on top. Good for a latte, which I usually avoid.  Overall, good coffee shop. Grind per shot, clean portafilters and steam wands, microfoam. Will definitely go back.

Is their roaster Coffee Gallery in Haleiwa?

Glazer's has a sweet La Marzocco, and pair of Mazzers. The espresso beans look nice with no oil. For drip they a use a rotating blend instead of a single origin.
