Thats right! This upcoming Sunday, from 12 (noon)- 6pm, we here at Temple will be having an in house comp!!! Myself and a few other of my fellow Templionians will be competing (maybe others too, I haven't heard either yay or nay), and we have a special treat as well: Noe Castro, the 2006 Guatemala Barista Champion, will be on hand, giving us a little demo and hanging out!!! Plus, I heard some Barefooters and Ritual-ites might be making some guest apperances too!!
The message has been handed down to keep this as "barista" as possible, since we'll be downstairs in "The Lab", but "non"-baristas (Harry, I'm looking your way) are certainly welcome!!
So: What?: In House Competition @ Temple When?: Sunday, March 2nd, 12-6pm and thats pretty much all the info. Come hang out and watch us blow this practice comp out of the water!!!

Team Barefoot Monica R Hill and Marie Holston will be there doing a little competition! They will be fresh from the Southewest regional Barista Competition and the Barista competition on the first with Heather Perry. And Noe Castro will be there as well pulling shots on bar in the AM and doing a little maestro work in the lab.
be there kids, you will love yourself that much more.

hey dude! It went really well. At the time, Jess and I were still working on sig drinks, so we didnt do a full run; we did an abbreviated 10 min "spro and capp" run instead. We both did excellent. Monica and Marie both did a great job too. I also got to meet the infamous Chris Baca, who turned out to be damn hilarious, and quite knowledgable to boot. You think you'll be hanging in Berkley next weekend?

i'll cruise into town either saturday night or sunday morning, so i'll be at the finals on sunday. best of luck to team temple / team barefoot! last year i was much more interested in the fourth machine given i was more of a consumer, but i think i'll appreciate the main event a li'l more now that i've started to scrape the surface of roasting and shot pulling. sean doing much with that roaster yet?
