Bellanos Coffee is celebrating it's 2nd birthday and to celebrate they are giving away free cappuccinos to anyone who tells them happy birthday. Simply go into their store at 3985 Stevens Creek Blvd (in between Saratoga and Kiley) in good ole' Santa Clara and Tell them happy birthday, then enjoy a cap, on the house, with Verve Coffee's Streetlevel espresso, or Zoka's Paladino. This is a mom and pop family shop who is dedicated to making great drinks and trying their best to show people they can hang with the best. They have a Synesso that is cherry and ready for domination, go ahead, endulge yourself and try them out I think you'll be a happy camper if you do.
I can't leave without having a straight shot made with Verve Coffee's Streetlevel espresso blend. Again congratulations on your second birthday. Thanks for another good year.
Anniversary update. I’ve been going to Bellano for the past 18 months and for all that time I only had straight shots because they are so good that I never felt the need to have a milk based espresso drink. So when Bellano had their second anniversary, offering free cappuccinos, I took the chance to try one anyway. My very first cappuccino, shown in the June 08 post, had a nice chocolate flavor but I really wanted something with much more chocolate espresso taste, like the cappas I’ve had at Luxxe. So I went back to Bellano and had a 4oz macchiato, made with Verve Streetlevel espresso shown in this collage, which had the very nice bittersweet chocolate espresso flavor that I was looking for.
My favorite coffee house for a cappuccino in the western USA is Luxxe in Santa Monica because cappas at Luxxe have a very strong bittersweet chocolate espresso taste which I love (took these pics in June 08). I was afraid I was only able to get cappas like that at Luxxe, but fortunately Bellano is able to mach that very nice strong bittersweet chocolate espresso taste in a macchiato.
Over the past few weeks I’ve been having more macchiatos at Bellano, and the ones made with Zoka Paladino espresso, shown in this collage, have an even better bittersweet chocolate taste. It is really nice! So the two-year Bellano anniversary had an interesting effect on me in that I now know that I can get a matching Luxxe cappa experience in Santa Clara and I now also actually prefer to get a macchiato over an espresso at Bellano.
